Inks Lake State Park

We went camping this weekend at Inks Lake State Park, near Burnet, Texas, in celebration (belatedly) of Cassie's birthday. Despite ferocious weather to the north and and east of us, we remained unscathed. Very cold, windy weather followed behind the front - but gave us a beautiful morning to try something new - campfired waffles! Delicious!

Rosie and Dee (Emile's grandparents) visit us in Austin, TX. Karen and Bill were also here in their RV, and Owen moves back to town the same weekend - it's a family reunion! Add hamburgers and hotdogs - a real stretch for the "foodies" of this family - and you've got a real Texas-style Family BBQ for these "Maine-iacs"!
